Minimal maps is the best way to describe Karen M. O'Leary's cut out and black on white lined maps. She takes our everyday city map to an avant garde level by tracing, drawing than cutting away everything but the streets. Or by leaving the streets white by drawing lines around them. All maps are cut out by hand with an x-acto knife - paper couture.
