In 2003 Japanese photographer Shinichi Maruyama moved to New York City and began working on his "Kusho" series. ("Kusho" translated is "writing in the sky".) In this series, Maruyama captures black ink colliding with water. Following the Kusho series are Water sculptures and Gardens, with the same idea in mind, using water and colored paint.
